Monday Happiness

I can say I had a pretty nice weekend - between meeting up with several other photographers in the area, 2 reveal sessions, and an impromptu sunset ride with my gelding the weekend was pretty solid.

I met up with several other photographers in the Atlanta area Saturday for lunch and chatted over mimosas and appetizers. It was a really nice afternoon learning a little more about what they do, which sectors they work in, and business policies they have in place. The sectors represented were Boudoir, Equestrian, Newborn, Wedding, and Family Portraits. It was really neat comparing why our sectors work and what we love about them.

I ran from there over to show Sofia everything from her session - and help her pick out her 8x10 canvas. She picked a family photo for her canvas and several other photos for print. I love when my clients want their photos in print - there's something about the fact that they want this photo on display in their home that makes my heart happy.

Sunday I ran over to do Jacki & Cassidy's reveal and found out that Cassidy won her first check running barrels -  as a 9 YEAR OLD! I had no idea and I'm so proud of her and Whiskey for improving their time! We went through all of the photos and I loved hearing what the loved and why, there's something very gratifying about hearing a client explain why they love the image so much. Especially if it's an image that I have been dying to show them - that's always a wonderful feeling!

Later Sunday I headed over to the barn and quickly saddled up Liam, who did not appreciate being pulled away from his hay. He was a little confused about the whole thing, we normally ride in the mornings to this kind of threw him off a bit. However it was a good night - we spent some time power walking the arena and then hacking around the back pasture just enjoying the sunset. We also worked on standing still since someone likes to jitter around versus standing quietly and enjoying the moment. Whatever Liam.

How was your weekend?
